What is an .SPIFF file?

The spiff file extension is generally related to SPIFF - Still Picture Interchange File Format

File format that enables JPEG and JBIG (bitonal) bitstreams to be exchanged between a wide variety of platforms and applications. According to the specification, SPIFF is designed to incorporate functionality found in some (ad hoc) image file formats (such as JFIF).

This spiff file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.

Files with spiff file extension might be found as pictures in Still Picture Interchange File Format. Special exchangeable file type.
