.emy is eMelody Ringtone File
Key Features: .EMY File Extension
|Created by||Sony Ericsson|
What is an .EMY file?
The emy file extension is related to EMelody format (3 octaves, whole, half, quarter and eight notes supported), or to a more limited 'simple' sub-set (2 octaves, half and eight notes only). The full format should work with never Ericsson EMS and MMS capable phones. Simple sub-set can be opened in a normal text editor and then copied manually to older Ericsson phones.
Files with emy extension are associated with EMelody format and they can be played by Awave Studio program.
How to open:Use Awave Studio to play the .emy files.
How to convert:As far as we know, this .emy file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
