.AFX File

The afx file extension is mainly related to a special graphics format used by Photo/Graphic Edges photo editing application for Windows and OS X by Auto F/X.

The afx file represents enhanced picture saved in proprietary Auto F/X image format.

Files with the afx file extension can be mostly found as images in the Auto F/X Image format from Photo/Graphic Edges software.

How to open:

Can be only opened in Auto F/X software or in some commercial graphics editors like CorelDRAW or Adobe Photoshop through a plugin installed.

How to convert:

We have been informed by Auto F/X representatives that using a 3rd party conversion program in order to convert .afx images to something else (like .jpg), would be a violation of user agreements of Auto F/X program and may result in the software being deactivated. Users are not allowed to alter file structure Auto F/X software and some converters can trigger the deactivation.
